This is the written life story of Lucy. She responded to a series of questions posed by Olivia Newsome, the project coordinator, answering the questions.
Lucy discusses what it was like growing up with Kenyan immigrant parents in a smalltown in Ohio. She candidly discusses feelings of loneliness and isolation going to a religious boarding school while realizing her Queer identity. She also covers the importance of Blackness on how she conceptualizes her Lesbian identity. Lucy talks about how she recently came out in 2021 after watching a Modern Family episode with a Lesbian character and talks about the importance of Lesbianism and Lesbian community as a place to feel free and fully yourself.

"Lucy Theuri (she/her) is 19 and currently lives in Indiana but was born and raised in Ohio. She likes playing the violin and has been since 5 or 6. In 2020, she started to pick up other hobbies like learning how to crochet, paint, and skateboard. She loves listening to music and watching movies. One of her favorite things is to go to the movie theater alone and see two movies on the same day, spending the whole time there. Right now, her favorite movies are ‘Fight Club’ and ‘Heathers.’ Lucy’s currently in college studying psychology and cognitive since with the hopes of becoming a psychology university professor. "
