Jinx is a nonbinary butch white person who was 20 at the time of recording. They talked about moving around a lot during their middle and high school years since their mom moved for work. Jinx talk about being treated as a tomboy and utilizing fiction as an escape to be anyone they wanted to be. They also covered learning about class during the 2008 recession where their parents saved money constantly, thrifted for necessity, and were absent because they worked multiple jobs. Jinx covered being raised by their grandmother and hiding mental illness from a young age with a history of mental illness from their mom's side. During the pandemic, they jumped from a roof top and broke both ankles which catalyzed chronic pain and the usage of mobility aids for Jinx. They discuss realizing they were Queer in high school as the GSA president. Jinx talks about recently coming into their lesbianism and what it is like making and meeting Lesbian friends in new york city as well as what identifying as a lesbian means to them, and when they are happiest as a lesbian.
