Mar is a gender nonconforming Mexican lesboy who was 18 at the time of recording. They talk about growing up in Mexico City until 15 years old and the transition from living in Mexico to California. They discuss immigration, feeling isolated from their classmates, and some of the privilege of being a class advantaged immigrant. Mar covers realizing their queerness in middle school while also struggling with people in their life not accommodating their neurodivergence. They spoke candidly about previous relationship violence and abuse in relation to their sexuality. Mar also covers meeting other Lesbians in the Queer art scene, the importance of Lesbian community, and what identifying as a Lesbian means to them.
